Gauss Lab announced on the 25th that it has obtained 'R&D-type' venture business certification through the venture business verification system implemented by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

The venture business verification system is designed to identify and support venture companies that meet the certification requirements, emphasizing technological innovation and business growth, based on the Special Act on Promoting Venture Businesses.

The R&D-type certification involves a review of company requirements and an on-site investigation conducted by specialized evaluation agencies such as the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency. Following this, the venture business verification committee (composed of private experts) conducts a preliminary review and deliberation to ultimately decide on the venture business status.

Founded in July 2020, Gauss Lab is a specialized company in digital ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) transformation. It has developed solutions like the 'AR Logbook' and 'XR Logbook' that assist in visual inspections in industrial settings. The company is creating new business models to realize ESG values, such as utilizing data based on renewable energy generation prediction technology, and is exploring new global markets.

Lee Jung-geun, CEO of Gauss Lab, stated, "With the acquisition of venture business certification, we will fully launch our digital ESG transformation solution business in 2024." He added, "We will continuously enhance our solutions related to carbon-neutral renewable energy data analysis, AI technology application, and real-time integration."
