On the 31st, Chungnam Province held the 'Excellent Employment Company and Master Craftsman Award Ceremony' at the provincial office conference hall. The Excellent Employment Company certification has been implemented since 2010 to encourage private companies to promote employment and spread a social atmosphere for job creation. Since 2020, companies that excel in employing individuals with disabilities have also been recognized and supported to create a better employment environment for them.
The ceremony was attended by Jeong Hyung-sik, the Vice Governor for Political Affairs, relevant officials, award recipients, and business representatives. It served to honor the excellent employment companies that contributed to local job creation and stability, as well as the masters of industry who have advanced regional industrial development.
This year, eight companies received the Excellent Employment Company certification:
- Mugunghwa LNB Co., Ltd.
- Seobuk
- Suyeong Logistics
- Human Bio
- RT Automation
- Gauss Lab
- Nice Stack
- Sonics B.O.M.
Additionally, three companies were recognized as excellent employment companies for hiring individuals with disabilities:
- Geumgang Silitec
- Zauber
- Power Automation
Despite challenging conditions, the excellent employment companies collectively created 96 new jobs compared to last year, while the companies that excelled in hiring individuals with disabilities added 20 jobs, contributing to local employment.
The certification is valid for two years, and selected companies will receive benefits, including a labor environment improvement grant of 20 million won.
The following individuals were recognized as masters of industry:
- Lee Un-sang (CEO of Seolhwa Motors) in the automotive maintenance category
- Oh Myung-sook (owner of a traditional rice cake shop) in the food processing category
- Go Sam-sook (CEO of Guldari English Cooperative) in the food processing category
- Yeon Woon-jong (associated with the Industrial Promotion Agency) in the quality control category
- Kim Jin-myung (CEO of Jinmyung Stone) in the stone craft category
Masters will receive a technical encouragement grant of 12 million won (4 million won annually for three years).
Vice Governor Jeong expressed gratitude to the excellent employment companies that support the local economy through quality job creation and to the masters who lead industrial technology development and training in the province. He encouraged them to continue their active service to the community with the support of the province.
