Nineteen Creative Economy Innovation Centers across the country have joined forces to attract investments for outstanding startups.

On October 31, Must Accelerator, a startup incubation organization, hosted the 'Cesse2' event at COEX in Seoul to facilitate joint investment for promising startups identified by the regional innovation centers. Over 300 stakeholders from the startup ecosystem, including government officials, large and medium-sized enterprises, and startups, attended the event.

This year's event, the second since its inception last year, featured 21 startups in the biotechnology, eco-friendly energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and industrial technology sectors, with seven startups from each field. Among the participants, Gauss Lab presented its virtual power plant solution, while other startups like TheGAM introduced an electric vehicle energy recycling system, BiROOT showcased a plan for securing future food using water hyacinth, and T&H Farm discussed a new drug for obesity treatment.

Other notable innovations included MobiHal's technology for estimating road surface conditions using AI and IoT, 8Tech's waste classification solution utilizing AI robots, and Q-Ring's AI tennis training robot. Additionally, VivaRavi presented a community for middle-aged hobbyists, Cool Bears introduced eco-friendly golf apparel, and Humil outlined plans for developing plant-based infant formula.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups also attended the event to outline the government's "Startup Korea Policy" direction. Lim Jeong-wook, head of the Startup Venture Innovation Division at the ministry, stated, "We will shift the paradigm of our startup policies from a domestic commercialization focus to laying the groundwork for becoming a global startup powerhouse." Ha Sang-yong, chair of the Creative Economy Innovation Centers Council and head of the Gwangju Creative Economy Innovation Center, emphasized the hope that the event would showcase the potential and growth prospects of startups, leading to successful investment opportunities.
