Gauss Lab, a company specializing in industrial digital twin solutions and data analytics, announced on the 21st that it has been selected for the '2023 Chungnam VR·AR Production Base Center Metaverse Convergence Content Support Project.'

This initiative is overseen by the Chungnam Information Culture Industry Promotion Agency, aimed at supporting local companies in the Chungnam region to develop 'public sector metaverse platforms' and enhance 'immersive content.' Selected companies can receive up to 80% of the total project costs in support.

Gauss Lab was chosen for its proposal to improve productivity in the battery manufacturing industry through extended reality (XR) convergence content. The company explained, "While the production of electric vehicle battery cells is dominated by large enterprises, a significant portion of battery pack manufacturing is handled by small and medium-sized enterprises. However, there is a critical shortage of workforce in these SMEs compared to demand, prompting us to propose digital transformation solutions to address this issue."

A representative from Gauss Lab stated, "We have developed strategic digital content to enhance productivity in the battery manufacturing sector and are establishing digital transformation services for the electric vehicle battery industry. Being selected for this project validates the business viability and technical capabilities of our solution."
